Job Responsibilities

As a CAD Designer at Viasat you will be responsible for documenting a wide range of diverse hardware for testing and troubleshooting our highly regarded commercial, military and space products. You will produce Standard Test Equipment (STE), test fixture and interface test adapter (ITA) documentation, including custom PWA schematics, which meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals. In this role you will work closely with Operations, Production, and R&D on continuing to build our test capabilities for new products while improving existing test devices and methods. Your ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, in a fast paced, rapidly changing, short turn-around environment will be key factor to the success of the team. You'll be asked to contribute to program responsibilities to include Solidworks Electrical Schematic Drafting, DxDesigner PWA Schematic Drafting, Wirelist Creation, Bill-Of-Materials (BOM) Creation, Agile (CMDB) Submissions, and Peer Reviews of EE and ME documentation.
