The Pre-Sales Solution Architect's main responsibility is to assist on the technical side of influencing new sales opportunities for Arctic IT in a variety of markets. This is a business development position (not commission based) which includes working very closely with the Chief Technical Officer to provide exceptional technical support during the sales process with a strong understanding of Arctic IT products and services. This role must exhibit high energy and convincing presentation skills. It is expected that this individual will understand selling software solutions to the decision makers and technical expertise of taking a customer from initial conversation, to the proposal and ultimately work closely with the sales team to close the sales opportunity.


* Lead pre-sales discovery and document customer functional requirements
* Prepare RFPs, RFI's, SOW's and proof of concepts for the Microsoft Stack, for example, Microsoft Dynamics xRM and Microsoft Dynamics ERP Solutions (GP, AX, NAV, FO, BC) Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure
* Respond to customer inquiries on product offerings and technical specifications
* Participate in sales calls to deliver solution presentations including product functionality and architecture discussions.
* Create and conduct compelling software demonstrations, presenting and articulating the features and benefits of the Microsoft solutions
* Deliver technical/business support in sales presentations
* Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations to support sales and pre-sales activities to prospects, customers, and at external marketing events such as conventions and seminars
* Act as a technical resource and liaison between the business development team and customer
* Act as a liaison with the Practice Managers and Chief Technical Officer on potential new products/solutions to be developed
* Work with business development and professional service departments in a manner that creates a long-term relationship between the customer and Arctic IT
* Create Statement of Works (SOWs) and collaborate with professional services team on estimates, specifically focused on architecting solutions and defining scope to be implemented
* Keep abreast of all new products, market trends, future directions and competitors
* Effectively communicates within the team, the company, and customers
* Works effectively in a team environment
* Other duties as assigned


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline 
* 5+ years of pre-sales and/or consulting experience
* Technical background in Microsoft Dynamics xRM 
* Technical background in Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions (GP, NAV, AX, FO)
* Strong technical writing experience. Ability to contribute to crafting responses to large Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) and Statement of Work (SOW).
* Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 is a plus
* Proven experience with Dynamics 365 ERP and xRM solutions deployments 
* Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and client development skills to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups, board of directors, or other defined groups of individuals.
* Ability to travel to clients/prospects throughout the US 
* Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in a polished, professional, and friendly manner. Public speaking experience preferred.
* Skill in organizing and managing time across multiple tasks. 
* Skill in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service. 
* Ability to translate experience to creatively solve client business, process and application issues
* Ability to work in fast paced environment
* Valid driver's license and insurance
* Applicants subject to government security investigations and tribal gaming investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. Travel is required and varies around 25%.
